The leather for the Rock Chic line comes from vintage pants and skirts. For her take on vintage bib mink collars, Randy uses strips of fur from tattered coats found at flea markets. Her work embodies the soul of handwork while being interpreted for the modern woman. The collection is made by hand in her small studio out of her Pelham, NY home. Randy Kran was trained in jewelry design at Parsons School of Design and FIT in New York City. She worked as an accessory designer for several years, traveling the world to create collections sold at Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, among others. After taking some time off to raise her daughters, Randy started to create limited edition jewelry that became an instant hit at fundraising events. She quickly became a sought-after custom jewelry designer and a favorite with fashion stylists. Her work has been photographed and featured in German Elle.
